Taskete Application

UX/UI Design Concept

University Project

May 2025

[05]

This project was created as part of a university assignment and focused on designing a supportive digital tool for students with ADHD. The aim was to create an app concept that balanced accessibility, simplicity, and engagement to help students manage focus and productivity.

My approach emphasised clarity and accessibility. I used contrast colours that were clear but not overstimulating, and sans serif typography for readability. To encourage motivation, the app incorporated a gamified structure suach as progress bars, task summaries, and reward systems designed to keep users engaged and supported.

The design process began with user research through interviews, empathy mapping, and journey mapping to identify pain points and opportunities. These insights informed the UX/UI direction, which was further developed through sketching, wireframing, and iterative prototyping. I focused on testing usability and ensuring that the interface reduced, rather than added to, cognitive load.

The final outcome was a concept app prototype designed for accessibility, engagement, and focus. Taskete showcased how visual communication and UX principles can be combined to support students with ADHD in managing tasks, building habits, and staying motivated through design-led solutions.
